In 25 years, we have come a long way – from the first inspiration to global projects. Each milestone is proof of our effort to bring innovation, improve water quality, and push the boundaries of possibility. Take a look at how we’ve grown and what brought us to where we are today.
1999
The Beginning of the Clean Water Journey – In 1999, Jaromír Šnajdr, a visionary and entrepreneur, rewrote his story. A graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at CTU, who began his career in electronics and the pharmaceutical industry, found inspiration far from home – in Israel. He was captivated by innovative water treatment technology using electrolysis he saw during his trip. This moment opened his eyes and awakened his passion for water treatment.
2000
Installation of the First KEUV Treatment Plant – The company’s first project, an electrolytic water treatment plant, was a response to the problem of rusty hot water in apartment buildings. After two years of testing and refining the technology in Prague’s heating plant and in Pardubice, EuroClean KEUV treatment plants became the standard not only in the Czech Republic but also in Slovakia.
2004
First Installation in Slovakia – Six years after its foundation, EuroClean entered the Slovak market. The first water treatment installations in 2005 successfully addressed issues with rusty water and deposits in piping systems, earning the company customer trust. This success laid the foundation for long-term cooperation and development in the Slovak market.
2007
Opening of a Subsidiary in Poland – In 2010, EuroClean expanded its presence by opening a subsidiary in Poland. With growing demand for reliable technologies, including solutions for combating Legionella bacteria, the company quickly gained the trust of Polish customers. Finding a reliable local partner, whose expertise and market knowledge significantly contributed to the company’s growth in the region, was key.
2008
Installation of the First OXCL Device – The first installation of the EuroClean OXCL device was a key milestone for the company. The technology, focusing on water disinfection and combating Legionella bacteria, quickly proved effective and strengthened the company’s position as a leader in safe and clean water solutions.
2014
Relocation to the Roztoky Campus – Relocation to its own campus in Roztoky near Prague was a significant step forward. The modern facilities provided better conditions for production, development, and administration, supporting further growth. This milestone enabled the company to meet customer needs more effectively and further strengthen its market position.
2022
EXPO 2020 Participation in the SAWER Project – By participating in the EXPO 2020 world exhibition in Dubai, EuroClean positioned itself among global innovators in water treatment. Its involvement in the S.A.W.E.R. device, capable of producing water from air using solar energy, contributed to showcasing cutting-edge Czech technologies. This project highlighted EuroClean’s ability to participate in revolutionary solutions in water management and boosted its international prestige.
2028
The First Liter of Wine Made from Water – In 2028, EuroClean plans to push the boundaries of the possible even further – by starting to produce wine from water. After years of refining water treatment technologies, we thought: “Why stop at water?” Our revolutionary “WineClean” device aims to turn pure H2O into delicious Sauvignon. And who knows, perhaps one day, we’ll move our know-how into champagne production – straight from rainwater!
