Filtration of undissolved substances from water
Mechanical filtration
of water
- Removal of mechanical impurities
- Removing water turbidity
- Treatment of underground, surface and industrial water
- Cooling water, swimming pools and wastewater
What does AquaSand+ serve for
AquaSand+ is used to remove mechanical impurities and turbidity from water. It works the same way as a sand filter, but thanks to a special filtration cartridge with high sorption ability it can capture much finer particles and has higher capacity.
The filter can be used as pre-filtration, coarse filtration or fine water purification. Its application can be found especially in the treatment of surface, underground, industrial, cooling, swimming pool or even waste water.
How does AquaSand+ work
The filtration takes place while the water is passing through a porous filtering cartridge, on which the impurities are trapped. Accumulated impurities are removed by automatic backwash, which is started by the control valve.
During backwash, the water supply is interrupted, but two AquaSand+ units can be connected parallel to each other, as a DUPLEX, to ensure uninterrupted operation. AquaSand+ is a long-term, reliable and maintenance-free solution for water filtration under a variety of operating conditions.
Installation
The AquaSand filter is connected to the main water supply of object or appliance using a bypass fitting. The outlet of the water that flows out of the filter during the backwash is introduced to the sewerage.
The final step is to set the control valve to suit your needs.
During backwash, the water supply is interrupted, but two AquaSand units can be connected parallel to each other, as a DUPLEX, to ensure uninterrupted operation.
