Usage
AquaSand is used for basic water filtration. Removes rust clouds, haze from wells or surface water and other undissolved substances. It can be used to remove precipitates produced after coagulant dosing, heating or aeration of water.
The main advantage of AquaSand sand filters is long service life and automatic operation, managed by a control valve.
We recommend the use of AquaSand+ filtering equipment for fine particle filtration or for higher filtering efficacy.
Function
Filtration occurs when the water passes through the filter cartridge, where the impurities are trapped.
After a set time interval, the automatic control valve triggers a backwash, during which the trapped impurities are discharged into the waste.
During backwashing, the water supply is interrupted, but two AquaSand units can be connected in parallel as a DUPLEX, to ensure continuous operation.

Installation
The AquaSand filter is connected to the main water supply of object or appliance using a bypass fitting. The outlet of the water that flows out of the filter during the backwash is introduced to the sewerage.
The final step is to set the control valve to suit your needs.
